As activists we have chosen to face the truth about the climate emergency and about climate injustice. To remain strong, resilient, and clear thinking, we need a safe place to express the emotions that come up for us in the present crisis. Listening circles can be a place to release these feelings and heal from the current trauma and past hurtful experiences. They allow acceptance of others exactly as they are, even if their views differ from our own. By helping to defuse conflict and tense situations, listening circles are an important tool in building a unified movement.  In this practical interactive workshop, we will offer some tools for making the giving and receiving of attention into a valuable resource for the climate movement.
